Yvonne & The Riffs

Vocalist Yvonne and her bassist hubby Pete Way formed The Riffs in 2003 while living in Richmond Hill, Ontario. They gathered a few very talented friends together and started performing at gigs and corporate events around the Greater Toronto Area.

After relocating to Cambridge, Ontario in 2008, Yvonne and Pete both worked on other musical projects and decided to reform the band with a new lineup in 2012, adding Kitchener guitarist-extraordinaire Rob Gies.

Tragically, in April of 2023, Peter, Yvonne's partner of 44 years and founder of The Riffs, died unexpectedly due to complications following cancer surgery.

To say the band was left reeling is an understatement. But they continue on, healing themselves and honouring Peter's memory through their music.

Yvonne and Rob continue performing regularly as a duet and, with core members, Luigi Falbo on drums and percussion, and Fyl Bennett on bass, Yvonne & The Riffs perform whenever they have the opportunity!

Hailing from Waterloo Region, Yvonne & The Riffs have been performing as a duo, trio and full 4-piece band for nearly 20 years.

Featuring Yvonne's powerful vocals, Yvonne & The Riffs perform a variety of well-known classic, rock, Motown and pop selections that demonstrate their range, ability, talent and musical professionalism. Yvonne & The Riffs are a gathering of great friends sharing their love of music!
